Adult Smile Evaluation
We examine your teeth, bite, gum health, restorations, and treatment goals.

A Straighter Smile. Designed Around Your Life.
Crowding, spacing, bite concerns, or teeth that have shifted over time can affect your confidence and oral health. Harbor Dental offers personalized Invisalign® treatment for adults who want a discreet, removable way to improve their smiles without traditional metal braces.
Invisalign® clear aligners provide a discreet treatment option that fits around work, travel, meals, family commitments, and social occasions — helping address crowded or gapped teeth, uneven alignment, teeth that shifted after braces, or bite concerns like an overbite, underbite, or crossbite. Alignment can also be coordinated with whitening, bonding, veneers, or restorative work as part of a broader smile plan. Not every concern can be treated with aligners alone; a consultation determines the most appropriate option.

Less noticeable during meetings, photographs, and everyday interactions.

Take them out for meals, brushing, flossing, and approved special occasions.

Every treatment plan is created around your teeth, bite, dental history, and smile goals.

Cavities, gum disease, or damaged restorations may need to be treated before Invisalign® begins.
You may benefit from an evaluation if you:

Before treatment, we evaluate your gums, existing fillings, crowns, implants, tooth wear, and overall oral health. Existing crowns, bridges, implants, or missing teeth don’t automatically prevent treatment, but they must be factored into planning.
Routine cleanings and exams remain important throughout Invisalign® treatment.
Pricing depends on treatment complexity, duration, and whether additional dental care is required. Some plans include adult orthodontic benefits that may apply, and financing options may be available for qualifying patients — you’ll receive a clear estimate before care begins.
Wear your aligners for the recommended daily time, removing them only for meals, brushing, and flossing, and clean them gently before reinserting. Aligners should also come out for coffee and most beverages other than plain water to reduce staining. Practical tip: keep an aligner case and travel toothbrush with you at work, while traveling, or during social events.
Temporary pressure or tenderness may occur when beginning a new set of aligners, which usually improves as your teeth adjust — contact Harbor Dental if an aligner becomes painful, damaged, sharp, lost, or no longer fits properly.

There’s no standard upper age limit. Adults may qualify as long as their teeth, gums, and supporting bone are healthy enough for orthodontic movement.
Yes. Selected cases of orthodontic relapse may be treated with clear aligners.
The timeline depends on treatment complexity, tooth movement, and how consistently the aligners are worn.
Aligners generally need to be worn most of the day and night, except during meals, brushing, flossing, and approved occasions.
Possibly — existing crowns and restorations must be evaluated and incorporated into your treatment plan. Dental implants themselves are fixed in the bone and can’t be moved orthodontically, but surrounding natural teeth may sometimes be repositioned.
A temporary lisp may occur when treatment begins, but many adults adjust quickly.
Aligners should generally be removed for coffee and most beverages other than plain water to reduce staining and protect the teeth.
Some patients need small, tooth-colored attachments to help the aligners perform specific movements, and additional aligners may be recommended after the initial series to fine-tune selected tooth positions.
Yes. Retainers help maintain the final positions after active treatment.
